I’m going to do a lawyer thing.

Technically, the question says “most recently played”. While, based on context, it means most recently played RPG, I’m going to ignore this and just make a list of my most recent stuff. Why? Because this is RPGaDay and during RPGaDay I tend to bend the questions as much as I can.

Most recently played RPG

While I’ve managed to derail the RPGaDay questions on day 2 this year, I will at least answer the question in the way that was intended first. The most recently played RPG was D&D 5e with my home group. There were two new players as well so that was extra fun.

Most recently bought RPG

Yesterday’s question was about the RPG we bought first this year. But what about the RPG we bought most recently? This is a bit tricky for me. Yesterday I mentioned I got Death In Space from Free League Publishing. Well, it was the first RPG I bought because it was the item I put first in my basket. The last item I put in my basket and, therefore, the most recent one (don’t ask about my logic, as a true GM I make stuff up as I go) I bought was the Dragonbane Core Set.

Free League Publishing is a company that checks so many boxes for me.

• Makes good games
• Has amazing art in all its games
• Has really good boxed sets
• It is in Europe so shipping and handling are affordable
• Runs sales that allow me to buy a huge box of stuff

Most recently watched movie

I decided to answer this one because funnily enough, the last movie I watched was Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. Yeah, it took me a year but I watched this in May and I enjoyed it a lot.

Most recently played boardgame

Flamecraft is one of the cutest boardgames I have ever played. It is also the one I played most recently, which was around March. The components themselves are excellent, the gameplay is so easy to understand, and it has infinite replayability.

Plus, it allows me to follow my favourite strategy in the form of “I am going to play this card because I like it regardless of its strategic value” and still have a winning chance. Not that having a winning chance bothers me. I play Terraforming Mars that way too.

Most recently watched series

While this was a rewatch I will still count it, and that was the Rings of Power. We rewatched it with some friends and I enjoyed both the series and their reactions. One of them hated it and the other one had the same opinion as me. It was an okay thing. Is it following the lore? No. Does it matter that much? No. I still have some issues with the series but it didn’t stop me from enjoying it.

I’d like to keep going but I should really stop. Again, the heat is unbearable even at almost 11pm. Time to move to a cooler room. I will return tomorrow to answer the question “Most often played RPG”. See, this one has the word RPG in it. I could probably still find a way to mess with it though.
