Let’s talk about screens. Or not. I’m not your boss.

Hey, I managed to finish work early today so I have time to write one of these on its dedicated day. Well, to be honest, it’s 9.30pm and I’ve been working since around 10am so I just don’t have any more fuel to go, otherwise I’d probably have gone for an hour or two. But anyway, screens!

I don’t remember if I have any GM screens other than those for D&D. I have 2 from 5e, the original and the reincarnated one. I didn’t really care about the adventure-specific ones, though I could have gone for the wilderness one if it weren’t almost identical with the ones I already owned.

For me, using a screen has the purpose of creating my space. It’s not necessarily for hiding my rolls from the players, even though that helps me, but to have an area where I can work my GMing magic without prying eyes to see that most of the time I’m underprepared. So basically, it helps with anxiety. Oh, and sometimes I remember there is actually useful information on it so that’s a nice bonus. Who knew GM screens have useful things on them?!

And that’s all for today. I can’t wait to turn off my PC and rest. But before that, tomorrow’s question is “Marvellous miniature”. I feel there’s a pun in there.
