You could say that it’s a game of shadows!

Shadowrun 4th Edition is a massive collection of 90 books set in Shadowrun, a sci-fi world full of magic! Before diving into the bundle’s contents, let me tell you a few things about this world. In Shadowrun, not everything is black and white, but the moral line is painted grey. The characters are called Shadowrunners and only interact with society when demanded and take dangerous missions. They vary from hackers to technomancers and street samurai with species that include humans, elves, vampires, spirits and even artificial intelligence. Oh, and they are definitely not knights in shining armour, but criminals.

Even if you are not familiar with Shadowrun, the bundle has your back. Among its books is the Sixth World Almanac, a comprehensive lore book and your companion to fully understand the setting. It is divided into two sections covering the history of Shadowrun and an almanac of countries. Inside its pages, you will discover rich lore, as it provides detailed timelines and information that you haven’t encountered before or not explained thoroughly. This makes it a valuable resource for both gamemasters and players, as it could be used for background material, worldbuilding and immersive adventures.

But what about rules and gameplay? The core rulebook and the Runner’s Companion are the foundation of the game’s rules, character creation, and new character options, while Arsenal covers weapons, armour, tech and many more things for a Shadowrun team. The bundle offers many adventures to step into action right away, and information about animals and plants is also provided, including the creation of Awakened flora. But it’s time I let you become a Shadowrunner and explore the bundle.
