I find this question very interesting.
So, what is the use of a good cover? Is it a showcase? Maybe something else? I don’t think I am capable of providing you with a good answer. For me, the cover is something that is used to draw us to find out what lies beyond it.
And this leads me to the one I have chosen, which is Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. Especially, the cover of the Monster Manual is the one that captures the spirit the best, in my opinion.
You’ve got a scene of a battle with a Beholder, one the most iconic monsters of Dungeons and Dragons. If that doesn’t capture the spirit of the game then I don’t know what does.
I also have two honorable mentions.
I mentioned Tales from the Loop before and I will probably mention it again in the future. It made a good impression on me and I will definitely get it as soon as possible.
Pathfinder RPG is another RPG I want to try. To be honest, one of the reasons I’m drawn to trying it is its art. Both the Core Rulebook and Gamemastery Guide have amazing covers.
And that’s my answer for today’s question. What do you think? Which RPG has the perfect cover? Also, tomorrow’s question is ” You can game every day for a week. Describe what you’d do!”.
So until then, have fun!
