#RPGaDay 2017: Day 29 – What was the best-run RPG crowdfunding campaign you have backed?

I have backed only one crowdfunding campaign so far.

I have mentioned it a few times already during #RPGaDay 2017 so it’s not anything surprising. The campaign I have backed was the Kickstarter for Open Legend RPG. I have backed the tier which gives me the hardback versions of both the core rules and a new campaign setting. Ed Greenwood and Matthew Mercer have played a role in the creation of the campaign setting so it’s kinda exciting.

The Kickstarter campaign was a big success, gathering $110.000. However, there have been some bumps in the road, leading to not having a solid date of when we’ll get the books. An alpha version of the PDF was released which was very promising, even if it was still missing a few things. Overall, I am positive about the fate of the project and I believe we will get the PDFs and the physical copies soon.

And that’s my answer to today’s question. What’s the RPG crowdfunding campaign you’re happy you’ve backed? Also, what’s the RPG crowdfunding campaign you regretted funding, and why?

Tomorrow’s question is “What is an RPG genre-mashup you would most like to see?”.

So until then, have fun!
