#RPGaDay 2018: Day 10 – How has gaming changed you?

Gaming is good for you.

RPG-a-Day 2018

Gaming has helped me change for the better.

I don’t make friends easily. I don’t have a lot of people I call friends in real life. However, thanks to gaming I’ve pretty much doubled the amount of friends I have. It has even reunited me with a friend from junior high school. Overall, gaming has made me more sociable.

Moreover, thanks to gaming I have discovered my love for cartography. I doubt I would have found out about it if I hadn’t had to look for D&D maps and mapping tutorials. Now, apart from a beautiful hobby, it’s a great way for me to relax. You should definitely try it.

And of course, if it wasn’t for gaming I wouldn’t be writing this blog right now and I wouldn’t have met this amazing community thanks to it. Seriously, you are all awesome and I love engaging with you daily.

And that’s my answer for today’s question. Tabletop gaming is more than a hobby for me at this point. What about you? What’s the biggest impact gaming has made on you? That’s something I’d love to know.

Tomorrow’s question is about the wildest character name. I will either have to use an alternate question or talk about one of my players’ characters, because I don’t get to be a player that often.

So until then, have fun!
