Humble Book Bundles – Audiobooks, RPGs, and Writing

Three more interesting bundles by Humble Bundle. This time there is a nice selection of topics you may choose. Let’s check them out.

Voices of Heresy by Black Library

For fans of Warhammer 40K, there is this pretty interesting bundle of audiobooks. It consists of 23 audiobooks, but 1 is a sampler so let’s just be fair and say the audiobooks are 22. All of them cover the Horus Heresy, a really important and large part of the 40K lore. It’s such a successful series that it has turned into a distinct product that is still generating books.

The fact that these are audiobooks is tempting for me. My favourite way of reading books is getting a physical copy and actually reading them. But as my reading list keeps getting bigger and bigger, no matter how many books I read, I am seriously considering starting an audiobook collection as well. Since I haven’t touched the Horus Heresy because it’s way back in my list (I have some Forgotten Realms series I need to finish and I’ve also started reading the Discworld series, without even counting standalone novels I read in between my main series) getting them as audiobooks sounds very tempting. Plus, my reading time has been taken over by my working time these ways so this doesn’t help. And 16€ for 22 audiobooks sounds like a good deal to me.

Black Friday RPG Bonanza

The previous bundle was a bargain. This one is a steal. We’re talking about 41 RPG books for 22€. This bundle consists of books for various systems. There is, of course, D&D 5th Edition and is represented by some really awesome books, like Tome of Beasts, which I own and can say it’s pretty good. But then we get some Castles & Crusades, Bunnies & Burrows (because why not?!), and Dungeon Crawl Classics. This is a content-rich bundle and for a great price. It’s so good, I’m actually considering getting it as an early Christmas gift for a friend who’s looking for some system inspiration. I’m definitely getting it for myself, though.

3D Printing!

Do you have a 3D printer? Do you play tabletop RPGs? Do you like using miniatures? If your answer to those questions is yes, then you may be interested in these two bundles.

With Dungeons & Monsters you can get up to 120 ready-to-print designs. The 3D Printable Adventure bundle comes with up to 50 designs, but each monster also has stats for 5e and lore. This is one of the times I regret not getting a 3D printer, something I’ve been telling myself to do since 2014.

The Ultimate Writing Bundle

Now, this one isn’t very closely related to tabletop RPGs. However, anyone who’s into creating their own content could make use of some of the books found in this bundle. My issues with this bundle are that I don’t think I need a good chunk of these books. Also, some of the interesting ones are in the higher tiers. And, finally, I think I’ve already purchased a writing bundle so I will probably get some duplicates.

You can check it out here.

That’s a lot of bundles to choose from this time. Personally, I think I will go with the first two. I was thinking about whether I should get the audiobooks or not but, during the writing of this post, so much more work piled up that I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to enjoy my reading time for at least two weeks. Thus, I will probably get into the magical world of audiobooks with this bundle.

And until next time, have fun!
