Conventions must be nice.

I say that as someone who has never been to a convention. There weren’t any in Greece up until a few years ago. Or, at least, they were so small that I hadn’t heard of them. I’d love to go to a convention. And, of course, I’d love to go to the holy grail of conventions; GenCon. But going there in my current state will basically bankrupt me. Oh, and by default that means I don’t have a favourite convention purchase because the number of such purchases is zero.

However, I want to mention my favourite purchase of last year, which is Vaesen. I haven’t finished reading it but I am already thinking when I can squeeze in a game with my friends. And, since this post mentions conventions, Vaesen actually was the winner in 4 categories in this year’s ENNIE awards. And even more impressively, it was the winner in 4 categories because it was nominated in 4 categories. Isn’t that neat?
