RPGaDay2024 – Days 18, 19 & 20

Sorry for missing a few days. My basement got flooded.

Since the beginning of June and up until a couple of days ago we’ve been having very annoying temperatures ranging from 30 to 40 Celsius. A couple of days ago we got a huge rainstorm that flooded a ton of homes, and our basement. Thankfully no people were in danger. But it made me miss a few days here, so I will catch up today.

Day 18 – Memorable moment of play

The most memorable moment for me was when I made a player roll with disadvantage for an Eldritch Blast infused with a bit of a Smite. That player had the tendency to roll 2s and miss saving throws even when they had a +11 to their roll. So when they rolled double 20s I was as excited, if not more, as them. And that was against a BBGE as well.

Day 19 – Sensational session

I will do a bit of alchemy here and by sensational I will also count an eye-opening one. It was a session when I realised a guy would only join our game because I was hosting at my place and that meant a ton of free food. That and he also got to pet my dog (may he rest in peace). At least I got rid of him and nobody complained.

Day 20 – Amazing adventure

Since autumn is approaching fast, I will mention The Haunt. It’s an outstanding adventure and I enjoyed running it as much as my players enjoyed playing it. I infused it with a pre-adventure encounter of my own for extra spice, and it went amazingly. Oh, and it has not one, but two sequels!

And I have now caught up. Hopefully, the schedule will return to normal. Tomorrow’s question is “Classic campaign”. What does classic mean?

And until next time, have fun!
