Today I’m going to tell you about my favorite Undead monster. I’m going to choose from 5th Edition’s Monster Manual. That means I get to pick from about 28 monsters. But before I tell you which is my favorite, here are some honorable mentions.

The Death Tyrant. Just because even when the Beholder loses his flesh, he still has a bunch of spectral eyes.

The Crawling Claw. I really don’t think I need to say something here.*cough*The Addams Family *cough*

The Mummy because I like them and my homebrew world is a desert.

Now for my favorite Undead monster. It’s the Dracolich. Do you think dragons are cool? Do you like liches? Then take a Dragon, make it immortal, give it more immunities and resistances and now you have an even more awesome dragon! Now it has all the time in the world to weave the most intricate, most devilish plans it can think of. But it also has even more power so it can see them succeed. Did I mention the phylactery? Yeah, it also has a phylactery. Send it to another plane and it’s practically invincible! And give it a lich as a servant just to make sure the players understand how incredibly badass this dragon is!

So this is my favorite Undead monster. But before I leave you, I just want to say this. I didn’t mind playing 4th Edition. I didn’t! I really enjoyed it. But why the hell are there flaming skeletons?! Anyway, tomorrow I’ll be back with my favorite Aberration monster.
