Time sure flies.

A year ago I wrote my first post on this blog. I really didn’t know what to expect at the time; I didn’t have put much thought into it. The only thing I had in mind was that I just wanted to write about the hobby I really enjoy.

Of course, not everything was easy. A little after my second post I went on hiatus for various reasons. However, I managed to come back and write more consistently. And I’m really glad I continued writing. Thanks to that I’ve learned a lot this year and also met some wonderful people.

After a year you’d think that I’d have a good idea about where the blog is heading. Well, it’s a mix of some “yes” and a lot of “no”. I had some initial ideas that I wanted to implement. Some of them I did to an extent, some of them have changed and some still wait for me to do something with them. Now add even more ideas that I’ve gotten during the year into the mix. The initial priorities I had set for them have also changed, so some things I had said I’d finish before this year’s end have fallen quite back into the list. However, other things have taken their place and I hope you will find them as interesting as I have.

Finally, I’d like to thank all of you, the people who read my ramblings. Thanks to you I am here, one year later. I hope you will follow me into my second year of writing about our favourite hobby and I promise you it will be better than the first.
