Impact can come in many ways.
I haven’t played anything other than D&D 5e and Open Legend RPG in the last 12 months. D&D 5e is my main system at the moment and I enjoy running it.
The impact that has made on me is pretty simple but very important; it kept me sane in difficult times. And I can see that clearly now, since I can’t run games and this has taken a turn for the worse for me.
But now that I’ve made things grim I feel like I should lighten the situation a bit. So I’d also like to give a mention to the Pathfinder 2nd edition playtest. I’ve been slowly going through the rules and I’ve been enjoying the ideas in there. The impact that has made on me is that I’ve started thinking a bit more outside the box when it comes to ideas for design.
And that’s my answer for today’s question. Is there a game that has truly made impact on you and why? Was it the mechanics? The lore maybe?
Tomorrow’s question is about our gaming ambition for the next 12 months. I definitely have more to say on that.
So until then, have fun!
