I’m on holiday leave so I thought I should give an update.

It’s new year’s eve so I’m sitting in the living room, waiting for the new year to arrive. I’m spending my time catching up with news, checking my social media for messages and tweets I’ve missed, and working on a new supplement I want to release at some point in the next couple of months.

But let’s get the army updates out of the way so we can talk about more interesting stuff later. When I made my last Random Ramblings post, I had finished the basic training. After that, we moved to advanced training and then we did what I will call specialty training. I have two specialties and one of them is scribe. I like this word so I’m happy.

After I finished with all the training I was moved back to the base that’s close to my city so things were better. Then I was moved to another base that’s even closer to my home so I really can’t complain. This allows me to visit my home often enough. If things stay this way, I will be able to get back to writing and all the other cool stuff I did before I joined the army. And that’s all for the army update. I kept things short and without much information because I really don’t know how much I can share. So I’m just playing it safe.

Let’s move to more interesting stuff, as I promised. I will try to write a review or two until I get back to the base. One review is more realistic than two but we’ll see. As for the Unearthed Arcana analysis articles, I am happy with what Anastasios managed to do, considering all the work he has with his master’s degree and all. I don’t know if I’ll go back to do any of the ones we missed. That’s up to you. If you want me to, I’d be happy to oblige.

Now, a more interesting announcement. A few months back, I released a review of the Strongholds & Followers supplement in both written and audio form. The audio version was uploaded on YouTube because I wasn’t sure what exactly to do with it. Since then I have decided to do some sort of podcast. Of course, the main co-host is going to be Anastasios. I’ve set up a Soundcloud for it and done some initial RSS sharing to various podcast services. Unsurprisingly, Google Podcasts isn’t available for Greece yet. I’m used to getting this response so I will not bother you with complaining about how hard things are for creators in Greece. At least not in this post. I will still upload the episodes on YouTube as well. If you want to listen from a PC I believe that’s an easier way to do it.

I’m saying this because, hopefully, tomorrow we’re recording the next episode. We would really appreciate the support.

Two paragraphs ago I mentioned support. It doesn’t have to be monetary, though I’d appreciate extra patrons. But for a creator, support can be a kind word, some feedback, sharing their work, leaving a review and, most importantly, consuming the actual content. So if you can spare a minute or two, please consider doing anything of the above. And I don’t mean this only for myself. There are a ton of small creators out there who desperately need support.
