I will keep this one simple.

No metaphors this time. I just want to pay tribute to the system that got me in to the hobby. That made me interested enough to actually want to start a blog and publish my own content.

That system is D&D 4th Edition. I didn’t get to play as much as I wanted with this edition, because I picked it up the summer before 5th came out. But its influence was so great that I spent that summer reading anything I could get my hands on about RPGs, as well as watching countless hours of videos about D&D.

It pulled me into the hobby like a black hole pulls the light into it. And I’m so glad it did. Because now I’m here, six years later talking to you about it.

And that’s all I believe. Now I’m going to spend some time with my dog because he doesn’t like rainy weather. Tomorrow’s word is “forest”. A ton of good ideas for this one.
