I’d like to brag a little bit.

This year has been excellent gaming wise, compared to previous years. Even though work has always and will always be a major obstacle when it comes to scheduling sessions, this year I had the privilege to both run games and be a player.

I started running the Heroes of the Borderlands starter set for a mix of new and experienced players, and it’s been an absolute delight watching the chaos (pun unintended) ensue. I’m also starting to prepare for a campaign I want to run, starting some time in autumn.

Now, when it comes to being a player, I joined a heavily homebrewed 5e campaign with someone who is both a good friend and a very experienced DM. The chemistry of the party is awesome. We are six players, so things can be more chaotic than usual, but we have figured out how to harness this chaos and incorporate it productively in our roleplaying and tactics.

Another game we’re playing is Pirate Borg. Now, if the 5e campaign is chaotic, in these sessions the chaos meter is off the charts. It’s the same people playing Heroes of the Borderlands, but Anastasios is the GM here. And since Pirate Borg is pretty much a catalyst for chaos, I cannot even start describing how the sessions are. And in fact, I won’t because Anastasios is writing something about our sessions. So stay tuned.

And that was me bragging about how much gaming I’ve been doing this year. I know for some this is like two months’ worth of gaming, but for us it’s a lot. So I am enjoying this. Tomorrow’s prompt is Secret. I cannot tell you anything else about it, for obvious reasons. You will have to come back tomorrow.
